Rome has been to every adoption event. He’s smiled through every “not today.” He’s watched puppies come and go, seniors find peace, and shy dogs blossom into beloved family members. And still… Rome waits.
This beautiful, kind, and gentle soul is quickly becoming one of Canine Impact Foundation’s longest residents. Before he found safety with us, Rome endured three long years chained outside, surviving on hope alone. No love. No warmth. Just neglect and silence.
Yet somehow—he’s still full of love.
Rome is about 5–6 years old, around 55 pounds, and truly a dream dog:
• Great with cats, dogs, and kids
• House trained and respectful in the home
• Gentle on leash with guidance, and loves affection
• Calm, quiet, and incredibly patient once his energy is out
Let’s be real—Rome has the strength of a small horse, and after everything he’s been through, he’s earned the right to run wild (in a fenced yard or on a leash, of course). Because honestly…
Wouldn’t you have the absolute zoomies if you spent three years tied to a chain?
Rome wants to run until he can’t run anymore—and then? He’s all snuggles, chill vibes, and ready to nap by your side.
He doesn’t ask for much. Just a place to belong. A chance to be noticed. A family to finally say, “You’re the one we’ve been waiting for.”
Rome deserves more than to be overlooked again. He deserves a couch, a home, and a forever. He deserves to know what it feels like to be chosen.
Please share his story. Help us get him home.
