Ruger is a 2-year-old German Shepherd x Belgian Malinois mix, originally adopted as a puppy with hopes of becoming a working K9. Due to life circumstances, his family had to make the difficult decision to surrender him to us. Ruger is a loyal, wonderful boy who just needs about 5 minutes to warm up to new people—then, he’s your best friend for life.
He’s good with other dogs, untested with cats, and would do best in a home with kids 10 and up. Ruger has a medium working drive and is eager to learn! He’s kennel trained, potty trained, and currently polishing up his basic obedience skills. Ruger is ready to find a home where he can thrive with structure, love, and plenty of playtime!
